This is the response from the White House to the wide spread protest that grew to one hundred twelve cities over the past week. Use the military to “dominate” and “put down” the protests. This response is not surprising. What I do find surprising is that not one Governor or city Mayor has communicated a plan to address the immediate concern that spawned the protest – excessive force against Black citizens. Equally concerning is that not one cogent set of demands or a corrective plan has been communicated by a protesting organization or group of leaders from the protestors. This stalemate is making a total meltdown of civil norms and COVID-19 transmissions more likely each day. Our local and national leaders appear to resemble a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car - can’t move out of the way while knowing the danger is an existential threat.
GEORGE FLOYD'S DEATH DESERVES MORE FROM PROTESTORS, STATE & LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS & THE WHITE HOUSE
I agree with Mr. Trump on one thing, its all weak. The protestors, the local and state officials and the federal response is all weak and pathetic.
George Floyd deserves more. Aimless protests and looting shows there is no actual leadership within the ranks of the under 30 crowd on the street. WEAK.
George Floyd deserves more. A milk toast and disorganized response from city leadership and law enforcement command. WEAK.
George Floyd deserves more. A predictable, knee jerk, over reaching response from a narcissistic man with more power and influence that he can handle who is in charge of the federal response. WEAK.
The United States has captured and captivated the anger and energy of Black and Brown people all over Europe for all the wrong reasons. The protestors are in a sweet spot and do not seem to be able to pull off the impossible - "Bring America to the negotiating table to address the racism at the root of the American economic tree". The next week will be critical to where if anywhere the energy behind this movement goes.

We all know an angry man. It seems he always speaks with passion even when the words appear
